Sting's high mass delighted Bercy...

In an almost religious atmosphere, the British singer gave a nearly three-hour recital in Paris on Thursday.

Sting stopped at the Palais Omnisports de Paris Bercy on Thursday as part of his 'Symphonicities' tour with London's Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. For the first 30 minutes, the audience remained largely silent in an almost religious atmosphere, where everyone didn't dare applaud too much to better enjoy the singer's arrangements of the songs, brought to life by a symphony orchestra. "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic," "Roxanne," "Fields of Gold," and "Every Breath You Take" particularly delighted the audience.

After an intermission, Sting returned for the rest of his show and didn't hesitate to make a few jokes in French about love songs. In a very sober setting, the British artist delivered a performance lasting nearly three hours, revealing a voice that was as true and powerful as ever throughout his set. Ending his performance with 'I Was Brought To My Senses' sung alone and a cappella, the singer of The Police then went backstage after convincing the audience with a complete reworking of his famous songs. The 'symphony' could then end in style.
